Slim Shore Joins Fusion Records
As many of us predicted – thanks to his friend choice on his MySpace profile – Slim Shore, AKA ‘the old Dutch Master’ has joined the already ‘too-many-artists-for-one-label’ crew at Fusion Records. The move seems to be fitting fit, as Henry’s production skills have always been of an incredibly high calibre.
This is not so much of a surprise, after his recent move away from Showtek’s label, Dutch Master Works due to some disagreement, and the subsequent dodgy cover up by the DMW boys in Dutch Master’s biography. Shortly after the move, Slim Shore – what an odd name – was quickly scooped up by Platinum Agency, so I daresay there are already some plans in the works for him over there.
There is no doubt that there is a significant amount of work in the future for Henry, rebuilding his reputation, but with the production skills he possesses, and already a strong rebrand in place, it shouldn’t be much of an issue (however Fusion’s release schedule might be).
The move to Fusion was announced in a YouTube video on Fusion’s channel, where Slim Shore’s latest work is being displayed.
The semi-cheesy track, ‘Scars‘ seems to be having a dig at DMW, in a vein similar to that of Showtek’s ‘World is Mine‘, oddly enough, but have a listen for yourself:

Why are there too many artists? Compare it with Scantraxx for example

here is some text
The reason for having many sublabels is because you don’t want to push out too many releases on one label, lest they be forgotten quickly. The label aims to get as much money out of a single release as it can, which is also why releases are delayed for periods of time.
It’s a similar sort of thing as SAIFAM’s aliases. Even though Technoboy, Tuneboy and various combinations of those two are the primary face of all releases, they can’t really release everything under TBY/TB because it would become too unwieldy to keep track of.
One can argue that each of Scantraxx’s sublabels has a different style, except maybe Silver, which I’m not sure anyone gets..

I just had some reflexion about this move from DMW to Fusion..
Maybe Henry left the Showtek’s label intentionnally? Have a look; he was like a second role on DMW after Showtek and Abyss & Judge, and now he just played at Qountdown, he has more bookings (Platinium hehe), he can benefit of a very good Fusion publicity…
If I’m right, Henry made the best choice, his style fits a lot with the Fusion crew
Can wait for his new tracks, “Siren” is pure damn energy _O_
