Dozer – Hawk, new Williams Syndrome, more Superplastik

superplastikOr: a treatise on the psychological effects of Michel Pollen on the human brain.

Indeed, it would be possible to turn an article about Superplastik into a treatise on the effects of music on the human brain. First let it be known that both Carl and I are huge Michel Pollen fanboys. And for good reason. Because for me, most of the tracks below are so good that they frighten me. Frighten as in a physical feel of unease, shakiness, goosebumps.

That is why it fills me with great joy to finally present you with the new Dozer song, Hawk. The intro, again, has a massive synth which, combined with the scary ‘melody’, will just blow your brains out. It progresses into a climax in which Pollen beats himself again – it is less happy and uplifting than most of his recent work, yet it will still take you to places you did not even know existed.

Hawk will be the A-side to Relax, which has been out there for months. Relax is possibly even better than Hawk, with an intro that sets a dark, frightening atmosphere, followed by a climax melody that is dark and happily uplifting at the same time. You have probably heard it but here it is again, just to be sure.

Now we go on to The Pitcher. Which is also Michel Pollen. His next release will be Our Core / Serenity. I don’t think I need to explain how great these are again. Pollen seems to have adopted the Pitcher alias for the more happy work though.

Now a lot of people seem to be unaware that recently, a new Pitcher vs. DV8 track was played at FearFM. It has very poppy lyrics and a friendly sound, even moreso than Vision and Break Away from Zany’s Fusion of Sound album. Combined with Pollen’s superb mixing qualities, I believe it has the potential to actually become a widely popular song. That would require a music video though…

Just for the record, the Dutch voice is the FearFM guy saying ‘this is the new Pitcher & DV8′ and some more promotional blabbering.

Michel Pollen is not the only person producing on Superplastik though. After his very well-recieved first release on SPK, Atmosphere / H.A.A.R.P., he has clearly been busy again. The Superplastik DJ team played a new track of his at the same FearFM event that Serenity rip came from. Try not to mind all the Dutch talk; it’s just the guys in the studio cracking lame jokes.

Nagoom – The Hardstyle Life

A very uplifting track as you can hear. Unfortunately, it does not seem to have that X-factor that made Elements so unbelievably good.

The Noisecontrollers duo have also recently signed at Superplastik, the last two releases being made by both (Williams Syndrome) or one (Killer Clown) of them. Stanley, that amazing guy with a camera, seems to have spotted a new Williams Syndrome track last Friday. They deliver a stunning track with Emotions of the Darkside – better than their work on SPK so far, which was very good already.

With that, we round up our little overview of upcoming Superplastik material. If you happen to stumble across more new work, please let us know and it will be up here in no time.

Again, very well written.
Michel Pollen doesnt allways apeal me with his – as you write, very uplifting and almost trancy melodies. Though i have to admit, he is one of the best producers out there.
But his productions for Dozer allways seem to amaze me.

Nagoom really amazed me with his last release (H.A.A.R.P/Atmosphere), though his new production 'The Hardstyle Life' – doesnt really appeal to me, and its not just the lame title, i think its a bit borring.
But i think have to wait for a better preview.

The new WS track sounds pretty banging, seems that as Noisecontrollers they've been making some very borring nu-style (with their latest release) but under other aliases they impress me over and over again.
