January’s Hardstyle/Hardcore Events Overview

janoverviewAs promised earlier today, we will kick the site off with an overview of all the important and/or interesting events that have so far been announced for 2009. However, here is a slightly more detailed list of forthcoming events this month for you first.

For now, we are forced to use Partyflock as a reference since we do not have an agenda system yet. The site is mostly in Dutch – you can pick English in the top right corner but that really only applies to the major menus. However, even if you don’t speak Dutch all the essential info is presented very clearly.

So to the events it is. First up is Euphoria on the 10th of January, Tilburg, NL. It is a small but interesting b2s event with a steady fanbase. There is a main area with the usual suspects NC, Prophet and P1 and, surprisingly, Tuneboy. The second area is way more exciting, with A-Lusion, Alphaverb, B-Front and Dutch Master. Tickets are only €20,-; a definite no-brainer.

On the same day there is an edition of XXlerator in the Matrixx, Nijmegen, with Acti, Bass Modulators, Frontliner, Headhunterz and 2-Sidez. Oh, and Devon K, for the fans.

Good news for our Italian friends: Saturday the 17th of January there well be a new edition of Kings of Hard in disco Florida, Brescia. The hardstyle line-up is decent, but lacks real Italian heroes and is overshadowed by the royal hardcore room; it’s too much to sum up here, go click that link!

Paul Elstak, for the Dutchies, is celebrating his birthday on the same day, in the Hollywood Music Hall.

And if there’s any Germans around who are looking for a way to lose their hearing as efficiently as possible, go here. Yeah, that’s a hardcore party in the Turbinenhalle.

We’re saving the best for last though: another episode of Zany’s Fusion of Sound album tour in club Zak, Uelsen! Pavo, Dozer, Zany, Donkey Rollers live; this is going to be a quality night.

Friday the 23rd there will be a large hardstyle/hardcore party in the Time Out, Gemert. Massive line-up at a smooth price.

Then the 24th, as we all know, X-Qlusive Technoboy. Apart from Stephy being booked twice, the line-up is quite promising and surely, we are going to get a lot of promos from this one. By the way, the Heineken Music Hall is a great venue.

We round off this first instalment in the Events series with Saturday the 31nd of January. On this day you may choose between Reverze and another Zany tour event, this time in the Matrixx. Reverze has a somewhat decent but very commercial and jump-ridden line-up. The Zany night in Nijmegen however has a near-perfect line-up with The Pitcher, Dozer, DR, NC, The Beholder and of course the master himself. I just wonder what the hell Darkraver is doing in there, but I’m not complaining. *edit* One more thing: be sure to check the Reverze site out, it’s the best event page since last year’s In Qontrol – definately worth a look.

The only one missing here is Nagoom, who will be busy making Hard Nature in Eindhoven noteworthy. Too bad Brennan Heart will also be there to ruin it. Then again, there’s A-Lusion and Dutch Master making up for that, and then I forgot to mention The Prophet who is also playing.
