Harder View Digital 008: Various – Bug Detected Remixes (2011)
Harder View Digital is back with this great Formaldehyde – Bug Detected remix pack, which includes remixes from 8 skilled artists including Spinecode, Cytosyne, 6head_slug, NRK, Hedonist, Palindrone, Kader and Mr 556a. Remixes from a variety of styles are represented including Frenchcore, hard techno and industrial hardcore.
The track Bug Detected by Formaldehyde was made in appreciation for the final Com:Baton event that was held on the 29th of April this year in Sydney, Australia. RIP. The original track can be found on Harder View Digital 007: Formaldehyde – Enter The Fortress.
The Harder View and Formaldehyde would like to take this oppurtunity to thank all the artists for the remixes, and we hope our fans enjoy it!
Spinecode (Matthew Wecker) is based in Brisbane, Australia. Matthew is one of the only guys in Australia producing Frenchcore, and has taken the international scene by storm with releases on Australia’s own Night Terror Recordings label, and a release through the Hardcore Central label. Spinecode has been picked up by the British label GGM, and will hopefully be putting out a feature EP with the very respected label soon. We can’t wait to hear it!
Cytosyne (Jake Ranallo) is a Sydney-based artist fans of THV should be familiar with by now. Jake had a release through our Digital outlet last year, and has since been working on a new sound incorporating dnb and dubstyle-type elements into his brand of industrial hardcore. Jake’s remix is a nice blend of the styles, and we hope to hear more stuff like this from Jake in the future.
6head_slug (Gregg Paternoster) is a hard techno/schranz producer based in Victoria. Gregg is one of the leading forces when it comes to hard techno in this country, and we are proud to feature such high quality music and artists through our label. Gregg also runs his own quality hard techno label – “No sleep till bedtime…”, and also runs his own “No Sleep” events in Melbourne.
NRK (Paul McNeilage) is an upcoming industrial hardcore artist based in Glasgow, UK. Paul has provided us with a banging remix and we hope our fans enjoy it. This is the second international artist we have featured on Harder View Digital and we would like to wish him the best of luck in the scene, and we thank him for taking the time to create a great remix for us!
Hedonist (Croy Broodfood) is a hardcore/speedcore producer from Sydney. Hedonist is known for his work with the Bloody Fist label, and has had tracks released on other respected labels in the past including Strike, UHF, Subvert and eps666.net. Hedonist is pretty quiet with production these days, so its great to see Croy providing his fans with some more music. And what a remix it is!
Palindrone (Julian Matthews) is another artist based in Brisbane. Julian is known for playing multi-genre sets of the harder-electronic variety, and is an avid collector of Hardcore/Breakcore/DnB vinyl. Check out Julian’s other work on Myspace from the links below, and expect to see Palindrone at future Harder View Productions gigs down the track.
Kader (Simon Mulhearn) is a hardcore producer and DJ hailing from Sydney. Have a listen to his other work on soundcloud from the links below. We here at The Harder View like to see Australian producers having a go and we think Simon has the right attitude towards production, and we wish him all the best in the scene.
Mr 556a (John Duggan) was a member of Sydney-based group The Pilfernators, and is known as the brain behind the now-ceased Com:Baton events, which ducked the commercial radar from 2001-2011. Mr 556a has provided us with a remix that was made on Schism Tracker, which is a remake of Jeffrey Lim’s Impulse Tracker 2.14 circa 1998. You dont hear many tracker-made tracks these days, so have a listen how music was produced in the early days before the full support of all things technological! WD40 recommended!
