The Sound of Q-Dance 2009: Sydney line-up
[UPDATED] Google analytics aka Big Brother tells us that there are quite a lot of Australians visiting this site. For all of you, 21 March is a Big Day: the next Q-Dance party! Nothing new so far, I am aware.
But we have the line-up.
The Sound of Q-Dance – World Tour 2009
21.03.2009
Hordern Pavillion, Sydney
Tatanka
Isaac
Fausto
Luna
Pavo
Davide Sonar
Scope DJ
A-Lusion
Nitrouz
Shayla
MC V
Source for this line-up is the new issue of ThreeDWorld. We got our eyes on an issue released a day too early. Anyway, if I lived in Australia I would be happy to cough up the $116 for a ticket. Ticket sale starts on February 2, which is… today!
Q-Dance have this time opted for a somewhat more grown-up line up instead of the lol shoteks that the last XQ was. They’re bringing in Luna and Pavo, some DJing legends. Sadly, these legends also fuck up badly sometimes… so nothing that exciting yet. Tatanka, however, has earned himself a place among the gods with Borderline, and is working on a lot of new releases – one good reason to go. Fausto will probably kick off the night with his good, oh so good hardtrance. Davide Sonar, hated by many, actually does a solid job at DJing and will hopefully treat the crowd to some obscure Italian work. The most exciting names, however, are A-Lusion & Scope DJ. Their soon-to-be-released collab, Between Worlds / Reaching Out, is one of the best records I have heard in a long time, and a B2B set would be awesome.
Nitrouz, for some reason, is highly popular with Q-Dance and playing a home match. Will he be able to match the beats this time? Technoboy’s oh-so-impressive vocalist, Shayla, is also showing up. Hope she won’t be late this time…
All in all Q-Dance have managed to arrange a very good line-up, although one may have some doubts about the Australian ‘talents’. The choice of MC, however, is a complete mystery. Why fly over MC V, pompous good-for-nothing MC #728876, over for thousands of euros just to annoy the crowd and look stupid? Whoever has a satisfactory answer to that question gets a feature on our frontpage. Along with an article about annoying MCs.
[Update] Isaac has been added to the line up. Yet another fantastic DJ, nothing more to say about it.
