The Harder View

Enzyme is on a roll! Shortly after releasing the absolutely wonderful (say, 90/100) Enzyme Injection 5 album they announced there would be a new Enzyme Incubation event to go with it. A line-up that will make a lot of people very happy has now been released.

On the 28th of February, part 3 of the Enzyme Incubation saga will be held in the famous Turbinenhalle, Oberhausen, Germany.  This location is best known for putting its sound limit (none) to good use, destroying thousands of people’s hearing on a yearly basis. And what better music to do that with than some of the finest hardcore and industrial the scene has to offer? Just take a look at these lists.

Just look at that! Area 1 has the best of the best of today’s mainstream, with a touch of industrial by Ophidian, D-Passion & Lenny Dee. Area 2 is packed with famous oldschool DJs, even the legendary Marc Acardipane. The third area focuses on industrial and related genres, with a very varied and extremely attractive line-up. Mental Wreckage & The Relic for instance have really showed what they can do with their recent SYMP.TOMs vol.4 CD (90/100!), and those were just solo mixes. Sandy Warez, Leo Laker and Matt M. Maddox will provide hardtechno and schranz with Mortifer and Tapage taking care of the experimental IDM stuff. Some of the greatest upcoming talents in ‘mainstream’ industrial, Sei2ure with his buddy Synapse, and Mindustries will also be there to batter your eardrums. But none of that really matters when The Outside Agency are performing – reason enough to go to any event.

At a price of €24,- this is something you can NOT afford to miss. Even if you’re new to hardcore and don’t know most of these names – I have this hunch you probably don’t – go here. The perfect place to get a taste of what good hardcore and industrial is. Anf for the Enzyme fans, well… You know what to do, don’t you?
